Do I need to travel to India to source products?

No. WHIMS is your boots on the ground: factory visits, quality control, negotiation, and shipping logistics are all handled on our end. You manage the relationship entirely remotely.

What does MOQ 500 actually mean?

Bulk production orders start at 500 pieces per order, mixed freely across the whole range. It's the minimum quantity that makes small‑batch artisan production viable to run.

Can I order a sample before committing to a bulk order?

Yes, always. Every relationship with WHIMS starts with a paid sample. We agree the sample and its timing with you on WhatsApp. Bulk manufacturing only begins once you've approved the physical piece in hand.

What does “GI‑tagged” mean, and why does it matter?

A Geographical Indication (GI) tag is an official government registration confirming a craft's origin, technique, and artisan cluster. It's a documented fact, not a marketing claim. WHIMS works in crafts that hold a GI registration, among them Jaipur Blue Pottery (No. 74), Saharanpur Wood Craft (No. 206) and Bagru Hand Block Print (No. 150). The Epoxy Resin line is hand-poured resin over Saharanpur sheesham wood, a GI-registered craft.

How is product quality checked?

Every shipment is inspected before it leaves the workshop. Our team checks materials, dimensions, and finish against your approved sample, and pieces that do not match are set aside.

What about customs, duties, and international freight?

WHIMS handles end‑to‑end logistics under either DDP or FOB terms — export documentation, customs clearance, and freight forwarding straight to your warehouse in the US, UK, EU, or Australia.

How does WHIMS approach ethical and sustainable practice?

We work with artisan clusters toward fair and safe working conditions and low-impact production with natural materials. These are the standards we hold ourselves to, not an upsell.

How are payments handled, and is my money safe?

Samples carry escrow-style protection: if your sample arrives broken or defective, we refund the amount. Payment terms for bulk orders are agreed with you directly.

Can I put my own brand tags or labels on the pieces?

Yes. WHIMS can attach your own brand tags or labels. Terms are agreed case by case on WhatsApp, and every wholesale relationship starts with a paid sample.

Do you work with boutique retailers as well as large distributors?

Both, deliberately. A small boutique order today can become a repeat distributor relationship tomorrow, so nobody is filtered out at the top of the funnel.
