How Mixed-Collection Wholesale Works: One 500-Piece Order Across Four Crafts

One minimum order, counted across the whole order. Here is how a mixed order across four crafts works, and how to plan one.

By WHIMS Editorial · Published · Last updated

Most boutiques, hotels and gifting houses do not stock a single craft. They want a range. That is why the WHIMS minimum order of 500 pieces is counted across the whole order and not collection by collection, so one order can carry wood, pottery, textiles and resin work together.

At a glance
  • The minimum order is 500 pieces per order.
  • The 500 can be mixed freely across all four WHIMS collections.
  • An order can be a single design or split across designs and collections.
  • Every wholesale relationship starts with a paid sample.
  • Bulk production begins only after you have approved the physical piece in hand.

How does a mixed-collection order work?

You choose pieces from any of the four WHIMS collections, and the pieces are counted together toward the 500. The table below shows what the four collections are, so you can see what a mixed order can draw on.

Why would a buyer mix collections?

A mixed order lets one shop or one project range across materials without placing four separate bulk orders. A boutique can build a balanced shelf, and a hospitality or gifting buyer can combine pieces for different rooms or recipients. The WHIMS Jaipur Blue wholesale page describes the same idea: a boutique building one balanced order.

How do you plan a mixed order?

Start from the shop, not from the catalogue. These four questions usually settle most of it.

  1. What job does each craft do on your shelf? A statement piece, a tabletop item and a textile each earn their space differently.
  2. Which collections fit your customers? You do not have to use all four.
  3. Which pieces do you want to see in hand? Samples are agreed case by case on WhatsApp, so tell us which collections you are considering.
  4. How might the pieces add up to 500? Tell us the split you have in mind when we talk on WhatsApp.

Common questions

What does MOQ 500 mean?

Bulk production orders start at 500 pieces per order. WHIMS says this is the minimum quantity that makes small-batch artisan production viable to run.

No. The 500 pieces can be a single design or can be split across designs and collections.

Can I mix collections in one order?

Yes. The 500 pieces can be mixed freely across the Saharanpur Line, the Jaipur Blue Collection, Hand-Printed Heritage and Epoxy Resin Woodcraft.

Where do I start?

Every wholesale relationship starts with a paid sample. Message us on WhatsApp, tell us which collections interest you, and we agree the sample together.
